Table service is currently mandatory in pubs in England, and we're encouraging all our customers to book a table in advance, particularly at the busier end of the week.
Benefitting from its close vicinity to the largest radiator in the pub, and with easy access to the toilets, Table 1 is ideal for groups of four people who are happy making their own conversation, rather than being interrogated by the regulars.
With an exclusive view of a window box, a generously proportioned mirror, and playing cards, trivia questions and wooden puzzles at an arm’s length, Table 1 is fine example of quite a nice place to sit in a pub.
Centrally located with a good view of the wood-burner, Table 2 is the only table in the area with its own Granny Annex, (in the form of a genuine Parker Knoll armchair).
With ample room for 4 guests plus 1 in the armchair, Table 2 is great for laid-back Sunday chillin'.
With a range of seating configurations, Table 3 is all about flexibility. For smaller groups, guests have the options of sitting opposite each other, adjacent or at 90 degrees. Bar-bubbles of 5 are comfortably accommodated thanks to the space-saving corner seat construction.
In the much sought after 'nearest to the wood-burner' location, Table 4 offers spectacular views of the road from one side, while the other offers a full panorama of the bar interior.
Through clever use of three doors – the interior, the exterior and the door to the wood-burner – Table 4 boasts unique climate controllability, along with status and prestige.
Situated in the up-and-coming area of 'the other bit of The White Swan', Table 5's proudest features include an elegant two-seater settle and a Triffid impersonator.
Table 5 is exclusively the only table in the 'other' side of The Swan that stands on the same elevation as the main bar, while being separated from it, which allows guests at this table to separate from guests in both the main bar and 'the other side'.
Located in the heart of 'the other side', Table 6 offers comfort and elegance for up to 6 guests making it ideal for guests who like to 'bubble to the max', or families who have taken a wrong turn on the A14 and can't find The Shed.
The second of our two larger locations, Table 7 offers comfort and elegance for up to 6 guests making it ideal for guests who like to 'bubble to the max', or families who have taken a wrong turn on the A14 and can't find The Shed.
Table 8 is The White Swan's Shoreditch. Once a run-down, rotting forgotten cess-den, Table 8 is the place for hipsters who want to be cool, (metaphorically by distancing themselves from the old bourgeoise, and now bar-stool-bereft barflies), and yet hot, (actually – it's right next to the log burner which kicks out a lot more heat than the antique looking thing in the other room, and makes pretty flames).
