For the thirsty

Real ales

This month's guest brewery is Colchester

As at Saturday Jan 11, the 3.9% Modraniht has become the best selling ale in The Swan over the past few days, and will probably be gone by the end of the day. Next up will be 'Number One, then 'Sweeney Todd and finally Cohcester's London Porter.

We're also currently serving local favourite Sauvignon Blonde from Crafty, (Champion of the Cambridge Beer Festival), alongside the ever popular Landlord from Timothy Taylor, and Woodforde's stalwart 'Wherry', (soon to be followd by 'Nog').

On draught

In keg we have officially the best lager in the world, ABK 'Das Blaue' Hell, International Beer Challenge Supreme Winner 2018 best lager. We've recently added Adnams' "Wild Wave" English ciders, and 0.5% Ghost Ship is about to return too the bar - perfect if you're driving. Guinness and Fosters probably don't need any waffle from me.

For the hungry

We like to offer our range of fantastic home-made food from Thursday through to Sunday evenings. However, as a small pub with a small number of staff, kitchen opening times tend to vary quite a lot, and we highly recommend contacting us in advance if you're thinking of dining with us.

If you're in a hurry, or have limited time, please order in advance

We expect to serve most food orders within between about 15 and 45 minutes, depending on how busy we are and what's ordered. However, different dishes take different amounts of time to create. All our food is prepared in house, and some things being made to order from scratch, which can take a while.
